At Middle Ridge State School we believe everyone has the right to feel valued, respected and safe. This acknowledges the rights of each individual and the associated responsibility of participating in a school community.
Through explicit teaching of our principles, rules and expectations, we strive to develop behaviours amongst our students that uphold the school’s core values of honesty, respect, kindness, self-discipline, social justice, learning and co-operation.
Our supportive practices are concerned with the development of self-responsibility amongst young people who are led to understand how their behavioural choices impact on their relationships with others. Our aim is to achieve gradual and meaningful attitudinal and behavioural change that can be sustained over time through the application of restorative justice principles.
Our community does not tolerate bullying or harassment in any form. All members of our school are committed to ensuring a safe and supportive environment which promotes personal growth and fosters positive self-esteem for all.
Our
Student Code of Conduct (PDF, 13MB) for students is designed to ensure that high standards of behaviour are maintained so that the learning and teaching in our school can be effective and students can participate positively within our school community.
