Our school is located on the south-eastern outskirts of Toowoomba, Queensland. Founded in 1884, Middle Ridge State School has grown as a result of significant residential development within the local area. We now enjoy an enrolment of exceeding 850 students from prep to year 7.
The school’s standing and appeal within the Toowoomba community is strong and has recently necessitated the introduction of an enrolment management strategy. Such a plan has ensured that we are able to maintain the quality, inclusivity and effectiveness of our teaching and learning programs within existing facilities and staffing levels. Our experienced and highly committed staff is dedicated to ensuring that all students are afforded a rich and diverse range of learning opportunities and are well supported in achieving to their best within a safe, well ordered and disciplined learning environment.
We believe that every child can learn, achieve and succeed. Consequently, we are dedicated to ensuring that our students experience a well-balanced curriculum, inclusive of the arts and sport, but with a strong emphasis on improved literacy and numeracy outcomes for all. Learning support, social skills, the arts and sporting programs feature within our school’s offerings and are regularly reviewed to reflect both the changing needs of our students, and research developments in education.
